HFHI / International Partners Program

A program of Habitat for Humanity, the International Partners Program places pro-bono advisors around the world to support the Habitat mission. These International Partners (IPs) consult, train, and guide local leaders in other countries. IPs may assist with developing new programs, planning special events or the administration of programs. Their roles may include resource developer, trainer, national coordinator, finance associate or affiliate developer.

Programs

Applicants must be able to make a three-year commitment to Habitat's work abroad. Candidates may be single or married, with or without children.

Qualifications

Related work experience is a qualification for IP positions and may include areas such as training, management, business administration, community development or organizing, program development, financial or project management. A second language and international experience are preferred, and required for some positions.

Financial Arrangements

A monthly stipend is provided as well as modest housing, health insurance, vacations, a pension plan, re-entry escrow and an educational allowance for dependent children. Habitat also provides travel to the field assignment and return upon completion.
