In addition to in-country projects within Canada, the long-term service projects in Bolivia deal with community service and construction.
Participants are expected to be fluent in the native language of their placement.
The organization pays all costs and a stipend is included.

History: Incorporated in 1968 in Canada as a federally chartered nonprofit charitable organization.
The Frontiers Foundation currently has projects in one country in Central America
To contribute to the relief of poverty, by supporting tangible community development projects, which have enduring significance.
To foster understanding and sharing of culture and experience, between various peoples of Canada and other volunteers from around the world.
To support the needs and goals identified by the requesting communities.
To promote development through the hands of those people, who know and understand their own needs, and those of their communities. In other words, we do not aspire to change their way of life, but to work in partnership with requesting communities.
